After an extensive career as a media and public affairs executive in both the public and private sectors, Fred founded Quill Global in 2013. Previously he was the Minister Counsellor and Head of Public Diplomacy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, the Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre, and a Consultant at Blue Sky Consultancy in London. He is currently a Member of the Board of the Uganda Investment Authority and the Uganda Registration Services Bureau. He holds an MA from the University of London and a BA from Middlesex University.
Leland Rice is Co-Founder & CEO of Dedalus Global, a Washington, DC-based investment consultancy focusing on emerging technology in emerging markets. He is also Chairman of the Africa Fintech Summit in Washington, DC. Previously, he was Editor-in-Chief of The Business Year, a global media group focusing on business intelligence, economic news, and research across the emerging markets. He holds a BA from Hampden-Sydney in the US and has completed executive education at the London School of Economics and Oxford University.
